Consumer’s rights act

Consumer’s rights act of May 30, 2014 (Journal of Laws of 2014, item 827). The act governs contracts concluded on or after December 25, 2014. It introduces inter alia new regulations with regard to distance contracts and off-premises contracts and to liability for defects. It repeals earlier acts: act of March 2, 2000 on the protection of certain consumer rights and on liability for damages caused by a hazardous product (Journal of Laws of 2012, item 1225) . The new act also introduces a number of amendments to the  Civil Code.
