Returning an item (upon withdrawal from a distance contract or an off-premises contract)

The consumer is obliged to return the item to the trader or issue it to a person authorized by the trader to collect it. The item must be returned promptly and not later than 14 days after withdrawal from the contract, unless the trader has proposed to collect the item from the consumer on their own. The above time limit will be observed if the item is posted before the time limit ends.

If the contract was concluded  off-premises and the item was delivered to the consumer to their place of residence at the time of such conclusion, the trader is obliged to collect the item at their own expense if – due to the item’s nature – it cannot be sent back by post.
